Namkeen. It can be found in a crinkled shiny silver or gold bag in most East Indian households. It’s a mix of fried lentils, chickpea batter noodles and many other spicy, crunchy, salty delicious things. On our recent trip to India, we spent a lazy afternoon with the family drinking chai and inhaling spoonfuls of namkeen! Our mouths were burning and we loved it; It was just too good to stop. Unfortunately, what followed was an upset stomach and a learned lesson (even dietitians need to learn lessons). Today we challenge you to replace that fried salty snack with our RADNUT heat mix. It’s spicy, savory, and crunchy. It’s perfect for handling cravings and hunger without added oil, fat, salt and sugar. Best of all, this heat mix is ridiculously simple, delicious, and nutritious. Enjoy!
